Filmed over three years, this documentary captures David Hockney's return from California to paint the Yorkshire Wolds, outside, through the seasons and in all weathers. For the first time a major artist allows himself to be recorded in the act of painting, doing it for real.
DAVID HOCKNEY – A BIGGER PICTURE premiered on IMAGINE, BBC1's major arts strand, wins "Best Essay" at the 2010 International Festival for Films on Art in Montreal (FIFA).
